| This field of
study focuses on developing a solid knowledge base of business
functions and practical applications of concepts. Specialized skills
are developed through course work in fashion, retail merchandising,
marketing and advertising as well as in textiles, buying and
operations. Emphasis is placed on extensive opportunities for
working in the industry through internships and major fashion
events. Career options are found with department and specialty
stores, designers, fashion show producers, manufacturers, fashion
