This field focuses
on the study and research of major social, political, cultural and
economic events of the past. Development of an understanding of how
past events have shaped the contemporary world is fostered. Changes
over time are explored. The acquired skills of research, analysis
and writing prepare students for careers in many fields from
business to law. Preparation for teaching is supported through a
secondary education concentration. Other options are found in
politics, government, international affairs and social services. |
